BANGALORE: The stage is set for the launch of a motor show ? Motor Match. The show will be held alongside the first Indian Formula One Grand Prix ? bringing together motorsport and the motoring world.

Endorsing the event is one of India?s F1 drivers Karun Chandhok. He will be part of the communication campaign to demonstrate the inherent value of the platform and its unique positioning.

Karun, as a dynamic youth icon, and a symbol of national pride, represents the brand values of Motor Match ? which is a pioneering spirit and an unrelenting quest for excellence.

Fiera Milano India MD Mehul Lanvers-Shah said, ?Currently, India is at the centre of the motoring world, providing Motor Match an excellent platform for a global launch. And Karun, as a symbol of a vibrant and young India, is the perfect person to draw the spotlight on India, and on Motor Match as a world class event.

Exhibitions India Group chairman Prem Behl said, ?We are very excited at having Karun as a patron for Motor Match. Karun?s maturity and his exposure to the world of automobiles from a very young age means that he understands the industry better than most, which is why his endorsement of the comparative concept of Motor Match means a lot to us.?

Motor Match is an event that?s been developed specifically for the BRIC markets. It?s designed with the consumer in mind, while also brining car and bike companies closer to their prospective buyers for meaningful interaction.

Motor Match is being held from 28 October ? 1 November at the Greater Noida Expo Center. In addition to providing consumers with the chance to make an informed decision about their next vehicle, Motor Match will also allow them the chance to enjoy a festive atmosphere along with their friends and families. Visitors will be able to enjoy live bands performing, choose from a number of cuisines at the food court, and also participate in a Consumers Choice vote for their favourite car or bike ? which also enters them into a lucky draw to win exciting prizes.

An ex-F1 driver, Sigfried Stohr and his team of professionals from Italy are being flown in especially for the event to supervise test drives for participants of the event.

Motor Match is being organised with an investment of over two million Euros and expects more than 2,50,000 visitors. Commenting on his endorsement Chandhok said, ?I?m personally looking forward to visiting Motor Match. It?s a very innovative concept, never seen anywhere in the world, and will help people in India choose their next car or bike. Moreover, it?ll complement the action on the F1 track, and allow people to see, and test, the best from the motoring world alongside the pinnacle of motorsport.
