  • Hallmark green lights its first prime-time series Cedar Cove

    MUMBAI: US-based cable television channel Hallmark Channel has green lighted Cedar Cove as its first ever original prime-time series which is expected to premiere in the spring of 2013.

    Based on the novel by Debbie Macomber, the show starring Andie MacDowell is heading into production in Vancouver with veteran television producer Carl Binder at the helm.

    "If ever there was a recipe for series success, Cedar Cove is it," said Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel executive vice president of programming Michelle Vicary.

    "Start with internationally-acclaimed actor Andie MacDowell, add seasoned co-star Dylan Neal, Debbie Macomber‘s bestselling stories, the consistency of a world-class show runner and one of the most successful producing teams in television, and you‘ll see why we think the outcome will be irresistible - Cedar Cove will be the place we all want to call home," Vicary added.

    Cedar Cove is based on Debbie Macomber‘s novels and stars MacDowell as Judge Olivia Lockhart whose Cedar Cove Municipal Court is the professional milieu and social microcosm of issues the judge will face in her own day-to-day life with family and friends.

    MUMBAI: Entertainment One (eOne) has unveiled their line-up for next month?s television trade event Mipcom, in Cannes France bringing a slate of new dramas and returning hit series.     ?Primeval: New World? is a spin-off of the UK series, featuring a new team battling prehistoric and futuristic creatures to save the city in this more adult and visceral adaptation.

    In ?Saving Hope? when her fianc? falls into a coma, Dr. Alex Reid must press on to save his life and the lives of those around her. As the action unfolds, she and her fellow doctors must deal with the complicated and courageous decisions that are made in their daily struggle to keep hope alive.

    ?Conspiracy 365? tells the story of a year in the life of teen fugitive as he searches for the truth behind his deadly family secret. Lord?s book series comprises 12 individual novels and has sold more than one million copies. The Australian television action-thriller series from producers Circa Media, was adapted from the best-selling book-series by award-winning Australian author Gabrielle Lord.

    eOne will also bring new seasons of shows ?The Walking Dead? Season three (AMC), ?Hell on Wheels? Season 2 (AMC), ?Haven? season three (Syfy), ?Call Me Fitz? Season 4 (DirecTV) and ?Rookie Blue? season four (ABC).
