• 'Under the Dome' to have concurrent premiere in India and US

    MUMBAI: Big CBS Love?s brand new fiction drama ?Under the Dome? will have a concurrent telecast in India with its premiere and telecast in US.

    Based on a novel of the same name by award-winning author Stephen King and directed by Stephen Spielberg, Under The Dome will mark the first time ever that American fiction drama will be aired in India concurrent with its US telecast.

    The show is part of the English general entertainment channel?s programming line-up for this quarter, which it will be kicking off with the launch of ?Britain?s Next Top Model? that is slated to premiere on 15 April. It will air Monday to Thursday at 9 pm.

    It will also air the drama series ?Summerland? that brings together Lori Loughlin and Jesse McCartney. The quarter will also witness the launch of light-hearted British drama ?Secret Diary? tracing the life of Hannah Baxter portrayed by Billie Piper.

  • CBS renews 18 shows for the season

    MUMBAI: US broadcaster CBS has renewed 18 series for the 2013-2014 broadcast season.

    Some of these shows air in India on Big CBS Prime and Big CBS Love, the two channels that CBS runs in India through its JV with RBNL.

    According to CBS, these mass renewals showcase its strength and stability among viewers in the 18-49 and 25-54 demographics.
    The renewals, comprising 16 hours of CBS? primetime schedule, consist of four comedies, nine dramas, three reality series and two news magazines. The returning shows encompass every night of the week and every hour.

    The renewed comedies include the previously announced ?The Big Bang Theory?, the final season of ?How I Met Your Mother? as well as ?2 Broke Girls? and ?Mike and Molly?.

    Among the returning dramas are the previously announced ?NCIS? and ?CSI?. Other dramas renewed include ?NCIS: Los Angeles?, ?Person Of Interest? and ?Hawaii Five-0?.

    MUMBAI: Big CBS Love is all geared up to bring the hit comedy, The Game, to Indian television screens.

    The Game will premiere on Big CBS Love starting 4 March, every Monday to Thursday at 8.30 pm.

    The Game is a show that follows the lives of professional football players and their significant others.     MUMBAI: Reliance Broadcast Network Limited (RBNL) and CBS?s joint venture English GEC BIG CBS LOVE will be showcasing the television drama ?Beauty and the Beast?. The show which won the 2013 People?s Choice Award for Favorite New TV Drama will premiere on Indian television on 25 March exclusively on BIG CBS LOVE.

    The series has been a critically-acclaimed and well received in America. The show features television actors Kristen Kreuk, Jay Ryan, Max Brown, Nicole Gale Anderson, Rob Stewart, and Sendhil Ramamurthy.

    Beauty and the Beast is a modern-day romantic love-story cum drama between Catherine Chandler (Kristen Keuk), a smart homicide detective being haunted by her tragic past and Vincent Keller (Jay Ryan), an ex-military man with a mysterious past and a terrible secret.

    Mumbai: This Valentine?s Day, Big CBS Love aims to rekindle every viewers? memories of love with a 14-hour special ?Shades of Love?.

    Over the course of the 14 hours, viewers will witness various shades of love like complicated love, forever lover and naughty love through dramas and movies packed with trivia and contests celebrating the spirit of Valentine?s Day.

    The channel has roped in Garnier as the associate Sponsor for the special feature.

    Starting at 6 am, the celebration will go on till 8 pm on the English GEC that targets women.

    Kicking off the Valentine?s Day celebrations will be the telecast of television?s teen drama series, 90210. The show will be followed by some romantic movies.   • Big CBS Love to launch latest season of ?The Good Wife?

    Mumbai: Big CBS Love has acquired exclusive rights to air the second season of legal drama ?The Good Wife?.

    The show features Julianna Margulies and Archie Panjabi along with actors Chris Noth and Will Gardner in key roles.

    The show is slated to go on air on 11 February and will be telecast every Monday to Thursday at 10 pm.

    The Good Wife Season 2 is a show which traces the life of Alicia Florrick (Margulies), a housewife and mother of two, who must rebuild her career as a litigator after her husband Peter Florrick (Noth) is sent to jail following a very public corruption and infidelity scandal.
