MUMBAI: Life OK has launched a new show and extended the airing time of two its existing programmes as it seeks to strengthen its 9-10 pm weekday slot.

The channel has launched a new fiction show titled ?Junoon- Aisi Nafrat, Toh Kaisa Ishq? that airs Monday to Friday at 9.30 pm. This has replaced ?Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki? that has gone off-air.

Life OK has extended the programme timing for two of its shows to 45 minutes. It will now air ?Mahadev? from 8 pm-8.45 pm while ?Amrit Manthan? will be telecast from 8.45 pm-9.30 pm till 16 November.

The channel used to air ?Alaxmi Hamari Super Bahu? at 9 pm which has been shifted to weekend slot and airs on Saturday and Sunday at 7 pm.

Life OK business head Ajit Thakur said, "We got good response for the mahaepisode of ?Mahadev? which used to air once a month. Hence we decided to extend the programming time of the show. Amrit Manthan too has a high point in the show. Our 8-9 pm and 10-11.30 pm slots were strong but 9-10 pm slot was not, where we were showing ?Main Lakshmi?? This has gone off-air. So we thought it is a great time to revamp the programming by launching a new show and making changes in airing time of existing shows. This is festive season and in order to give our viewers more of what they like, we have revamped our programming."

After ?Main Lakshmi?? went off-air and ?Alaxmi?? was moved to weekend, Life OK used to air the repeat of ?Hindustan Ke Hunarbaaz? from 9 pm to 10 pm. The show?s original airing is at 7 pm.

Building weekends, the channel has extended its franchise ?Savadhan India? with a region specific focus. The show deals with real-life crimes stories on murder, kidnapping, domestic violence, fraud, robbery, forgery, rape and sexual assault.

The channel will air ?Savadhan- India Fight Back? from Monday to Friday at 10.30 pm. Now it will air region specific episodes focusing on Mumbai, Delhi and UP on Saturday and Sunday at 10 pm. The content of these region specific episodes will be picked from that particular region. The show will have different hosts for these three regions.

The channel is soon launching a show on nationwide terror attack titled ?2612?. Produced by Sphere Origins, the show is a tale of a young, resilient kindergarten teacher Rashmi Bhargav who finds herself at the centre of a terror plot more satanic than 26/11, a plot known as 2612. ?2612? will show how the incident changes her life.

"2612 is about the largest ever terror plots against India. The story is based around the fact that a common man can fight back. It will show how regular Indians will rise to fight back terrorism," Thakur added.

For the record, ?Junoon- Aisi Nafrat, Toh Kaisa Ishq? traces the journey of the city bred Meera and the rustic and rugged son of the soil Prithvi. They are two people who were imperfect for each other but nevertheless fall in love.
