MUMBAI: Hungama Music, one of the leading music and music video streaming platforms in the country owned by Hungama Digital Media, today became one of the first services in India to offer music videos on Amazon Echo Show. With the availability of music videos on Amazon Echo Show, users cannow watch their favourite songs, in addition to listening to them,by simply asking Alexa to play music videos from Hungama Music.

Through this service, users can stream individual music videosby saying its title, name of the actor, musician, genre or language.Users can access Hungama Music’s music-video library on Amazon Echo Show using simple voice commands such as “Alexa, play Dilbarmusic video on Hungama”, “Alexa, play Punjabi music videos on Hungama” or just “Alexa, play latest music videos”, and “Alexa, play music video of Taylor Swift”.

Speaking about the association, Siddhartha Roy, COO, Hungama Digital Media said, “It is hard to deny the power of video in India. Even music is as much a visual experience as it is aural because most of our music comes from our movies. Users in the country don’t just listen to music, they watch it. As the first service to have a deep integration of its video catalogue on Amazon Echo Show, Hungama Music will provide the users access to an extensive multi-lingual and multi-genre library of music videos, allowing them to have a wholesome and enriching entertainment experience.”

Dilip R.S., Country Manager for Alexa Skills, Amazon Indiaadded, “Listening to music with Alexa, hands-free,is a delightful experience. With the newly-launched Amazon Echo Show users can enjoy their favourite music videos on its 10-inch HD display. Hungama Music has a huge catalogue of the latest music videos in different languages and we are certain that the convenience of voice-control and variety of content will make the experience of using Amazon Echo Show even more enriching for our users.”

To enjoy videos from Hungama Music, customers just need to include the term ‘music videos’ when requesting Alexa for videos. For example: “Alexa, play music videos”. This request will directly stream the relevant video from Hungama Music’s catalogue on the screen of an Echo device. This eliminates the need to specify the service name when asking Alexa to play music videos on Amazon Echo Show.
