MUMBAI: Maya Entertainment Limited (MEL) MD and CEO Ronald D'Mello has put in his papers and is currently serving his notice period.

Joining Maya two years back, D’Mello has been responsible in restructuring the company and substantially growing its turnover. The education vertical of MEL has particularly grown in size and the company is readying to release an animated movie Ramayana The Epic.

“D’Mello is serving his notice period till the end of this month,” sources told Indiantelevision.com.

D'Mello, who had joined Maya after quitting UTV Software Communications, was also given a stake in the animation and VFX company.

Prior to MEL, D’Mello was CEO of UTV's new media vertical and also held the designation of COO of UTV during his stint there. He had worked briefly as CFO in Star India’s radio business.
