MUMBAI: 9X is adding a new dimension to its content. After launching a mystical show Sambhav Kya?, the channel is now experimenting with its cookery show Kuch Kook Hota Hai to turn it into an entertainment programme.

The revamped version of the show will be aired Monday to Thursday at 12 noon, starting 7 September.

Keeping to it's new hybrid tag, the show will now feature Sarita Joshi and Manish Paul.

It will be a mix of dance, music, cookery and laughter.

9X head of content and programming Vikas Varma said, “The song and dance presentation of Kuch Kook Hota Hai has received an encouraging response from our viewers. We are pleased to extend the concept further and introduce veteran actress Sarita Joshi as the ‘Daadi’ on Kuch Kook Hota Hai.”

The show revolves around a wannabe cook, who wants to be a world famous chef someday. In pursuit of his dream, Paul tries to cook some delectable delights. What he doesn’t know is that his 'Dadi' is a pro when it comes to cooking and many other things in life.

The show will see chef giving out the recipe through song and dance style, followed by a presentation later in the show.

The half-hour format of Kuch Kook Hota Hai will showcase two dishes per episode, cooked by both - Daadi Maa and Manu (Paul), along with useful tips (daadi’s nuske) for good health/digestion to sum up the episode.
