For the second consecutive year, Zee Cinema will return with the Malamaal Diwali
contest that became highly popular last year. The
contest will have viewers play a unique card game and stand a chance to win the
cash prizes this Diwali. The
contest will run during the Amitabh Bachchan special festival that will be telecast
between 12 to 16 October at 8 pm. Viewers of the channel will stand a chance to
win more than Rs 200,000 in cash prize. The
game will require answering questions based on the film being telecast on that
particular day. Three cards will be displayed on the television screen, each one
with the pictures of actors from the movie. Viewers
would have to identify the star-cast of the movie and choose the odd one out.
Viewers sending the maximum number of correct SMS would be declared winners in
the subsequent week. Said
Zee Cinema business head Mohan Gopinath, "The amazing response we got from
200,000 SMSs received by this contest last Diwali, prompted us to bring it back
during this year. We are extremely happy that viewers' interactivity is high on
Zee Cinema and our contests are always received with great enthusiasm." The
channel will air movies like Ajooba, Aaj Ka Arjun, Amar Akbar Anthony, Giraftaar
and Parvarish as part of the contest. Besides
cash prize of Rs 25,000 per day for maximum correct SMS, a mega prize of Rs 100,000
would also be given for maximum correct SMS for cumulative five days of the festival.
The
channel will air movies like Ajooba, Aaj Ka Arjun, Amar Akbar Anthony, Giraftaar
and Parvarish as part of the contest. |
