Fever FM, the demerged radio subsidiary of HT Media, is on course for its targeted
operational breakeven in FY'10. The
company, which operates FM stations in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kolkata, has
posted an operating loss of Rs 23.3 million for the quarter ended 30 September,
improving marginally from the trailing quarter loss of Rs 26.3 million. We
are maintaining our growth target. We have manage 50 per cent revenue growth in
the quarter and will achieve an operational breakeven by the end of FY 2010,
Fever FM business head and CFO S Keerthivasan told Indiantelevision.com. Fever
FM has posted a revenue of Rs 97.8 million, up 10.76 per cent from the trailing
quarter. HT
Media has employed a capital of Rs 801.2 million in its radio business, according
to data provided till 30 September. "Our
radio business is close to attaining breakeven and has stabilized as one of the
top three channels of choice in Delhi and Bangalore," HT Media chairperson
and editorial director Shobhana Bhartia said. The
company demerged its radio business from its subsidiary HT Music and Entertainment
(HTME) and merged into itself earlier this year. |
