NEW DELHI: A new emotion-packed serial, Tum Dena Saath Mera, dealing with the issue of acceptance of the differently enabled and physically challenged people, is to be telecast on Doordarshan’s national channel from 23 November.

The series will be aired from Monday to Wednesday at 9.30 pm.

The serial, produced by Rahul Bhat and Sharika Bhat and directed by Rahul Bhat, has music by Madan Shankar and cinematography by Prakash. The star cast of the serial includes Rajiv Verma, Gajendra Chauhan, Amit and Piku Sharma.

Physical deformities like being blind, deaf and dumb are no more hurdles for physically challenged people in leading normal lives. All they need is family and social acceptance.

Tum Dena Saath Mera is a story of two such physically challenged people - a blind girl and a mute boy - and their life, bravely facing troubles and turbulence. The problems are compounded by their inability to communicate with each other freely.

Set in culturally rich and colourful rural Punjab, the story highlights the social stigma and the mindset of the parents of such children and how through sheer determination and family support, these children make their mark.
