In an evening of glitz and glamour, the Ninth Indian Telly Awards 2009 honoured
the shining stars of the Indian television industry.
Times
Group managing director Vineet Jain was recognised for his
contribution to television with a Telly. Bandini's lead Ronit
Roy was honoured with the most popular actor award Ratan Rajput
the lead of Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo was given
the most popular actress award. BAG Network managing director
Anurradha Prasad was inducted into the Hall of Fame. BIG Synergy
was recognised as the production house of the year.
Balika
Vadhu once again proved its mettle as it was announced
as the most popular daily serial while Sony's C.I.D.
won in the most popular weekly programme category.
