Red FM COO Abraham Thomas has decided to move on. Having put in his papers in
August, Thomas will be serving his notice period till Friday.
Earlier,
in August, Sun TV Network had consolidated its FM radio stations outside Tamil
Nadu and Pondicherry under the Red FM umbrella brand. As
part of the restructuring exercise, K Shanmugam, head of South Asia FM Ltd, was
named as CEO of the Red FM unified brand. Sun
moved its 38 FM stations (including 23 stations of South Asia FM LTD, 14 stations
of Kal Radio LTD and one station of Udaya FM Pvt LTD) to the Red FM brand, bringing
total number of stations to 41. Thomas
had joined Red FM in March 2005. Earlier he was ad sales head of MTV India. Before
MTV, Thomas was heading ad sales at Sony Entertainment Television (Set) India. Prior
to that, Thomas worked for the Indian Express. Also
