MUMBAI: ESPN has announced the availability of a 24-hour high-definition (HD) service in Brazil on the Sky platform. This is part of the recently conceived 10-channel package for the South American country.

The new HD channel will include Uefa Champions League, The Spanish League, The Italian League among others.

"The launch of ESPN HD Brazil reinforces our commitment to provide fans the best quality sports programming. We launched our first HD service outside the U.S. last June in Australia and are now pleased to offer fans in Brazil the same experience," said ESPN International EVP and MD Russell Wolff.
