MUMBAI: ESPN has announced the availability
of a 24-hour high-definition (HD) service
in Brazil on the Sky platform. This is part
of the recently conceived 10-channel package
for the South American country.
The
new HD channel will include Uefa Champions
League, The Spanish League, The Italian
League among others.
"The
launch of ESPN HD Brazil reinforces our commitment
to provide fans the best quality sports programming.
We launched our first HD service outside the
U.S. last June in Australia and are now pleased
to offer fans in Brazil the same experience,"
said ESPN International EVP and MD Russell
Wolff.
