| MUMBAI:
ESPN Star Sports is set to launch the second season of live interactive cricket
quiz show Stumped on Star Cricket from 1 June. The
show, which will be aired daily, has marked Endemol India's entry into sports-based
shows. The
show will be hosted by model and TV anchor Shonali Nagrani. Earlier,
the show was aired during 11-24 May with Wasim Akram as celebrity guest.
"There
is a huge interest for an interactive cricket based quiz show which allows fans
to test their knowledge of the game while at the same time giving them an opportunity
to win interesting prizes. Stumped is an attempt to fulfil this need. This
show is also an extension of the live programming line-up during ICC World Twenty20,"
says ESPN Software India MD RC Venkateish. Endemol
India MD Deepak Dhar adds, "India being one of the largest cricket loving
nation, our venture into the sports entertainment arena with Stumped has
been a planned one. Our aim is to expand our expertise from being known as a non-
fiction provider into various other genres."
The
show will also see representation by cricket stars and celebrities,
the company said in a release.
