MUMBAI: Reliance ADAG has given Preetam Shah, who is Reliance Capital VP for US venture operations, the additional responsibility of heading the international market for the video-on-demand (VoD) division of BigFlix.com (www.broadband.bigflix.com).

In his additional role as Bigflix VP International business development, Shah will largely be responsible to drive and enhance Bigflix’s presence in North America and other international markets.

“We have received excellent response from US and Canadian markets with maximum visitors to our VoD business since its very inception. Indian cinema content is not only an integral part of every NRI’s family life, but is also becoming extremely popular and loved by non-NRIs,” said BigFlix COO Kamal Gianchandani. “We are glad to appoint Shah to head our international division to drive the international VoD business and enhance our reach in these markets. We are confident that his strong network and rich experience will definitely boost our presence internationally.”

Based in Silicon Valley, CA, Shah will be instrumental in developing strategic business alliances and partnerships to drive the distribution of BigFlix content through various channels to NRIs and Indian cinema aficionados internationally.

Shah comes with years of experience in sales and marketing, strategy, business development and finance. In his role at Reliance Capital, he is responsible for identifying strategic investment opportunities that creates value for Reliance ADA Group’s existing business verticals in the healthcare, energy, digital media and entertainment (DM & E), and financial sectors.
