| MUMBAI:
ESPN, a subsidiary of Walt Disney Co, is laying off 100 Connecticut employees
this week. These will be from departments including television production and
back office jobs.
ESPN
chief executive George Bodenheimer had hinted in January that ESPN would be reviewing
its operations and would leave 200 jobs vacant.
ESPN
has a staff strength of 5,400 people worldwide, including
about 3,400 at its Bristol, Conn. campus.
