MUMBAI: Disney Interactive Studios has announced to develop a consoles and PC game based on Hollywood blockbuster movie Pirates of Caribbean.

The game, named as Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned, will be developed from Propaganda Games, Disney's video game development studio-based in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Players can take on the role of a pirate and embark on epic land and sea adventures. Players can also explore a massive open world, while fighting enemies, creatures and mother nature.

The game is scheduled to be released in fall 2010.

"Our team's collective experience with industry-leading RPGs and action titles provides a strong foundation for us to create and build an action role-playing title," said Propaganda Games VP and GM Dan Tudge.

Disney Interactive Studios has shipped more than six million units worldwide of self-published multi-platform Pirates of the Caribbean video games, which were inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End films.
