MUMBAI: Star Plus is expanding its footprint to Mauritius. News Corporation-owned Asian broadcaster Star has inked its first Indian Ocean distribution deal with DTH operator Parabole Reunion for this purpose.

Apart from Mauritius, Star Plus is also available, from today, in Reunion, Malagasy, Madagascar and Mayotte. Viewers can get the channel either on an a la carte basis or as part of an existing bundle.

Says Star country head - Middle East, Africa & Pakistan Sumantra Dutta, "I'm confident that Star Plus will excite viewers in the region with India's popular dramas, reality shows and special events. Looking ahead, we look forward to working more closely with Parabole Reunion to bring subscribers even more television choice from our bouquet of South Asian channels."

Star Plus is the first and only Hindi channel to be offered on Parabole Reunion.

Says Parabole Group general director Michel Juanico, "Our mission is to offer the best channels on our platform. We are very happy to welcome Star Plus on Parabole."
