| MUMBAI:
Viacom's MTV Networks International (MTVNI) has announced plans to expand its
services and channels in Russia. MTVNI
network will add Spike TV and Comedy Central in addition to its existing channels.
At
present, MTVNI beams music channel MTV, kids channel Nickelodeon and English music
and lifestyle channel VH1 in the country. Viacom
will also be offering channels over the Internet and mobile phones. Currently,
MTVNI operate in Russia in partnership with Vladimir Potanin's Prof-Media. The
company bought the Russian versions of music video channels MTV and VH1 in June
2007. |
