MUMBAI: Digital Entertainment Networks (DEN), jointly floated by IBN18 joint MD Sameer Manchanda and Network18 founder-promoter Raghav Bahl, has upped the responsibility of its president SN Sharma.

Sharma, who was handling the northern region, will now oversee the south and west territories as well. He will continue to report to DEN CEO Anuj Gandhi.

“I am looking after the day-to-day operations of the cable business at the national level,” said Sharma.

DEN has a major presence in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, the two lucrative carriage revenue markets for cable networks from broadcasters. It also has gobbled up Amogh Broadband Services, a leading MSO promoted by former Karnataka chief minister D Kumaraswamy's family. The multi-system operator is yet to have a presence in the eastern region.
