MUMBAI: The Authority for Info-Communications Technology Industry (AITI) of Brunei, Darussalam, is set to exhibit at CommunicAsia 2009 for the first time.

CommunicAsia will be held in Singapore from 16-19 June, featuring technologies that draw interest and demand from the info-communications technology (ICT) market. CommunicAsia, BroadcastAsia, CG Overdrive, as well as various inter-government meetings are part of the Infocomm Media Business Exchange (imbX).

"CommunicAsia is a great platform for the world to see what the Brunei ICT industry can offer. At the same time, it also gives us a chance to be exposed to the latest technology offerings," said AITI chief executive Pg Hj Md Zain.

"AITI has been participating as a supporting organisation at CommunicAsia for the last many years. Despite the economic uncertainties this year, they are displaying a more prominent presence at the show by leading the Brunei pavilion," added CommunicAsia project director Victor Wong.

The show, together with BroadcastAsia, is expected to feature about 2,000 exhibiting companies from 65 countries and regions from across the globe.
