MUMBAI: Management consultancy firm Value Partners has tied up with Dubai Media City to host a forum to discuss business challenges in telecom and media industries.

The event, which will take place on 10 May in Dubai, aims to address challenges faced by the region's telecom, communications and media sectors. The event will also highlight the need for collaboration between these sectors to help the development of a digital media eco-system in the Arab world.

"This event is important as it provides a platform for regional telecom and media players to gain market insights. The event will allow regional players to come together to develop strategies to help strengthen the industry," said Dubai Media City executive director Mohammed Abdullah.

The forum is expected to bring in viewers from across the Gulf region, some of which includes Janice Hughes director of Global Media Practice and Francesco Caio, senior advisor and former CEO of Cable & Wireless and Vodafone Italy amongst others.
