Premiere to carry Nat Geo in Germany

MUMBAI: German pay-TV company Premiere has added National Geographic Channel (NGC) in its Premiere Family package. The channel features factual entertainment with a mix of filmed documentaries.

Premiere CEO Mark Williams said, “National Geographic is one of the most significant brands for documentary programming. The new channel will make Premiere even more attractive. Our subscribers will be thrilled by the exciting content.”

 

In partnership with the National Geographic Society, the NGC presents premium high-quality documentaries focusing on research projects, expeditions and the latest developments in technology and science. It also exhibits exclusive programming of independent filmmakers from around the world.

 
 

“NGC is committed to delivering top quality factual entertainment in line with the society’s mission of inspiring people to care about the world we live in, and the opportunity to deliver on this commitment to Premiere’s subscribers is a significant step for us in Germany and Austria,” added Fox International Channels Germany MD Diego Londono.

Upcoming programming on NGC includes Jean Michel Cousteau’s Ocean Adventures, Salvage Code Red, Inside Guantanamo and My Music Brain.
