MUMBAI: Total Sports Asia KK (TSA) announced the acquisition of a series of entertainment content for distribution in Japan.

TSA Japan’s recent acquisitions include among others Barack Obama – His Story, a biography on the new American President, Rolling Stones – Rock of Ages, a natural science series titled Ben Cropp Collection and Pavarotti – a Legend Says Goodbye, a tribute to the late great tenor, and EXERO Live in Concert, a series of classical music concerts.

TSA claims that a number of other acquisitions are also in the pipeline including content from Japan, Korea and other regions in Asia.

“Our foray into the entertainment sector has been very successful. Our vast client base in Japan coupled with strong link with suppliers of top-quality content from all over the world has enabled us to enter this field and yield results in a short period of time. We plan to further strengthen this part of our business through the formation of key alliances with suppliers of top quality content and grow our entertainment business into one of our key revenue streams,” said TSA MD Korea/Japan Chung See Liang.

TSA Japan is following the lead of the TSA group which has been venturing into the entertainment sector with its subsidiary Max Entertainment in the past three years. TSA Japan has sealed deals with key broadcasters and DVD publishers in Japan for its entertainment content.
