MUMBAI: Social networking portal MySpace has announced the appointment of Amit Koshal as senior business development manager – mobile for India.

 

Koshal has more than five years of experience in the mobile value added services like content and gaming with specialisation in the field of mobile social networking services.

He will be responsible for spearheading the mobile strategy for MySpace India. MySpace India Mobile claims to have seen a 50 per cent growth in usage over the last six months alone.

 
 

MySpace India country manager Hari V Krishnan says, “Mobile access to MySpace has been our global focus, and in India we feel it will be even more pivotal. We are thrilled to have Amit onboard with his vast experience in the mobile VAS space. With his leadership, we look forward to building out an exciting range of mobile offerings which will redefine the mobile social networking space in India.”

Koshal says, "I am very excited to be a part of an innovative global brand like MySpace which is making great progress in India already. My focus in the near future would be to support this growth with Mobile initiatives which will richen the overall user experience.”
