  NDTV shareholders to meet on 24 March on demerger issue

MUMBAI: NDTV Ltd. will hold a meeting of its shareholders and creditors on 24 March to seek their approval for splitting its news and entertainment businesses.

The company will hold separate meetings of its equity shareholders, secured creditors and unsecured creditors for the purpose of considering the scheme of arrangement between the company and its subsidiaries, NDTV informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.

"The subsidiaries of NDTV include NDTV Media, NDTV News, Metronation Chennai Television and NDTV Studios.

 
     
 

NDTV News 24x7, NDTV India Plus, NDTV Business, New Delhi Televisions Media, NDTV Delhi and NDTV Hindu Media are also the subsidiary entities of the company.

Besides running a clutch of news channels, NDTV owns and operates the Hindi general entertainment channel NDTV Imagine and lifestyle channel NDTV Good Times.

Shares of NDTV ended Thursday at Rs 75.85, down 2.32 per cent from the previous day's close on the BSE.
