MTV to launch season 2 of Splitsvilla from 7 March

NEW DELHI: MTV is launching the second season of its romance reality Splitsvilla 2 from 7 March.

The show will see nine boys and nine girls competing to win as a couple. The winning couple will get Rs 1 million as well as a chance to host their own show on MTV.

For the second season of the show, MTV has retained Vodafone as the title sponsor and Wrigley’s Double mint Aqua fresh, Denver Perfumes, Microsoft Windows and iPill as associate sponsors.

Additionally the channel has partnered with Levi’s Sykes as its cool quotient while Cosmopolitan is the style partner.

The channel has also roped in Superhits 93.5 Red Fm as its radio partner, IBN7 as its news partner, PVR Cinemas as multiplex partner, Airtel Digital TV as Digital TV partner, Blu Fi as innovation partner, Gelato Italiano as chill out partner, Sweet World as candy partner and Sports Bar as club partner.

Says MTV India GM and senior VP Creative and Content Ashish Patil, “Discover a completely twisted side of romance where the fastest way to man's heart is through his chest, with a sharp knife in second season of the hugely successful Vodafone MTV Splitsvilla in a bold new format with 9 girls, 9 boys. It’s guaranteed to set the temperatures rising.”

Hosted by Nikhil Chinappa, the show is being shot at Goa. The second season, which has a new format, will have each week the boys and girls competing to flatter the king and queen of Splitsvilla, who will be revealed on the first episode. The contestants will be asked to perform one task every week and on the basis of their performance, they will be dumped.
