MUMBAI:
Children's entertainment producers and rights owner HIT Entertainment
has announced launch of its new division - HIT Movies.
HIT
movies will focus on family film franchises based on HIT's
properties, such as Thomas & Friend, Barney, Bob the Builder,
Angelina Ballerina and Rainbow Magic. It will expand on the
essence of HIT brands, and will also target a broad family
audience.
HIT
entertainment president and CEO Jeff Dunn has assigned Julia
Pistor to head HIT movies. Earlier Julia Pistor was serving
Nickelodeon's as movies EVP.
Hit
Entertainment has also signed a pact with Beverly Hills based
United Talent Agency (UTA), to create opportunities in films,
television and digital agency. UTA will also work with HIT
Movies' to rise up its feature film development slate.
"We
believe that HIT Movies, under Jeff and Julia's leadership,
is poised to be a major force in the growing family film genre,"
said United Talent Agency co-founder and Board member Jeremy
Zimmer.
