MUMBAI:
Terai Media Network has launched 'Terai Television', the first
regional broadcaster in Nepal.
Headquartered
at Birgunj, Nepal, the channel will relay news in four languages
- Nepali, Hindi, Marathi and Bhojpuri. Besides news, the channel
will focus on serials, reality shows, social awareness programme,
cinema and sports.
The
channel will target audience from the Terai region, Nepal
and some parts of India- Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
Terai
managing director Pawan Kumar Sanghai told PTI that Terai
Television is a dynamic concept to entertain people, exchange
information, promote different culture and focus a bit for
the people of the Terai, the southern plain.
