MUMBAI: Social networking website Yoursphere has been launched in UK.

The new social networking site is targeted at children under 18 years.

Yoursphere will be free to anyone joining for the first month, following which a subscription fee of £3.50 per month will be charged.

For the launch, the site will target parents through the release of a ‘virtual parenting’ report, and kids through a social media campaign through a series of videos with the the tagline ‘adults ruin everything’.

In an effort to prevent concerns over abuse of children online, the site claims to protect children by asking if users are a teen or parent. Also users under the age of 18 have to provide their parent's email address for personal detail checks.

The UK launch will be followed by launches in Ireland, Australia and New Zealand later in the year.
