MUMBAI: US-based EQD, which works in the area of visual display products, has announced its entry into the LCD HDTV market with its Auria line of high definition and Full-HD LCD TVs.

The aim of EQD is to make HD television an affordable option for more viewers by offering prices which it says are as low as 20 per cent less than its closest competitor with two-year warranty.

EQD has also pledged to donate a portion of its profits to the Armed Forces Foundation and Miracles for Kids charities.

The line delivers HDTVs with 720p and 1080p high definition performance. Display sizes range from 16 inches up to 47 inches and offer high brightness and a dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000:1 on several models. For optimal digital signage applications, digital home entertainment such as HDTV content, and Blu-ray Disc players, AURIA TVs include integrated ATSC / NTSC / QAM TV tuners and a variety of connectivity options, including HDMI 1.3.

EQD CEO Steve Woo says, “As tough economic times are changing the HDTV landscape, and with the federally mandated switch to digital TV signals, EQD has entered the marketplace in a unique position that will allow us to provide high-quality, high-value multiple function monitors (MFM) as HDTVs and PC displays at the lowest possible price."
