| MUMBAI:
Bigadda, the social networking site from the Reliance Big Entertainment stable,
has tied up with GMR's Delhi Daredevils team to provide GMR with a loyal fan base
and increase traffic to the Delhi Daredevils website. Says
Bigadda head revenue and marketing Mandar Natekar, "This is a symbiotic relationship
and is purely a marketing tie-up. There is no revenue sharing involved between
Bigadda and Delhi Daredevils." As
part of the initiative, the franchisee's merchandise, premium memberships for
the fanclub and match tickets will also be sold on the networking site. Additionally,
the site will host contests starting next week for its users to award winners
with prizes such as club seat tickets for the matches and 'meet and greet' opportunity
with the cricketers. The
website will include blogs written by cricketers and will also host their interviews.
"However, we will not upload any IPL match video content as they would involve
IPR issues. But, if it is a user generated content, it would be welcomed,"
says Natekar. Bigadda
is also in talks with other IPL franchises. "There are some online spends
attached with each team and we are aiming at getting some share out of that. This
wouldn't be a case of concern for Delhi Daredevils as our relationship with them
is not monetarily attached," says Natekar. |
