MUMBAI:
Big 92.7 FM Hyderabad today announced the inception of the
'Big ugadi music awards' acknowledging excellence in Tollywood
music.
Starting
this year, the 'Big ugadi music awards' will be given on 27
March and would be given every year on Ugadi day.
Apart
from using radio as a medium to campaign for the awards, Big
92.7 FM has also planned for an on-ground initiative starting
next week.
A
Big 92.7 FM bus having an electronic voting machine will be
touted all over Hyderabad. Listeners will be encouraged to
vote for their favourite musicians through this initiative.
They can also vote for their choice by sending SMS.
According
to Big 92.7 FM, since it's a listener's choice awards, the
award ceremony will not be a grand gala happening. Instead,
two lucky listeners along with a celebrity and an RJ would
go to each winner's place in a Mercedes and the red carpet
will be rolled there. There are 12 awards in total, with 6
being for music directors and 6 for singers.
Zee
Telugu, the radio's station broadcast partner, will telecast
the music awards on Ugadi.
