MUMBAI: Nivedita Basu, who was earlier with Balaji Telefilms as senior creative head, has joined Colosceum Media as VP of scripted programming.

Says Colosceum Media founder and CEO Ajit Andhare, “This is a key step towards building the company, as Basu brings a peerless track record and experience in storytelling. With her spearheading our fiction division, Rajiv Lakshman leading entertainment and Sanjeev Sivan heading our documentary business, we have put together perhaps the best content development minds in the country.”

Apart from content creation, Colosceum Media also offers consulting, strategic and research advisory services to brand owners. Some of the programming that it has produced include Splitsvilla (MTV), Wheel Smart Srimati (DD/Unilever), Jai Shri Krishna and Bandhan Saath Janmon Ka (Colors), and Shakuntala (Star one).

Says Basu, “Colosceum has demonstrated success across genres in a short time. It has the energy of a young company and I like the buzz. I have always enjoyed building something new and look forward to exciting times ahead.”
