Neo Sports Broadcast has elevated Prasana Krishnan to chief operating officer
with immediate effect. At
Neo, Prasana has previously been involved in various functions including strategy
and business development, corporate and acquisitions amongst others.
Neo
Sports Broadcast chairman Harish Thawani said, Krishnans elevation
is an eloquent testimony of internal management depth at Neo. In him we have an
outstanding young leader with a strong understanding of global markets, the sports
industry and excellent leadership qualities a combination which will play
an integral role in leading Neo into the next phase of the networks evolution.
Prasana
began his career as a senior investment analyst with the Economic Times. At 36,
Prasana has a 13-year career span across the media and consulting sectors. His
previous assignments include Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd and Arthur Andersen.
A
graduate from St Stephens College, New Delhi, he has a Masters degree in
finance and control from Delhi University. Neo
Sports Broadcast owns and operates two channels namely Neo Cricket, the cricket
entertainment channel, and Neo Sports, the all sports channel.
Neo
Cricket broadcasts from Japan, Korea and Taiwan in the Far
East on The New Media Group and Hum Tum TV, from the Middle
East and North Africa on the Add/Pehla platform, from Singapore
on Starhub, Hong Kong on ICable, Next Channel from Nepal and
from Sri Lanka on Dialog TV and Lanka Broadband.
