| MUMBAI:
Imax Corporation, the entertainment technology company that specializes in motion
pictures technology, has announced the appointment of Gary Moss as the company's
chief operating officer (COO). Moss
will take charge from 20 July to the newly created position and will be based
in Toronto. Gelfond
says, "Moss has a strong ability to build team work and a proven approach
to problem-solving, and we believe this appointment will further the continued
growth and long-term success of the Company."
Moss
brings in 15 years of experience in media and entertainment industry. He will
be responsible for overseeing the company's operations, leading and assisting
the organization as it executes the company's business strategy, refining performance
management systems and focusing on the integrated operation of all business units.
Moss will directly report to Imax CEO Richard Gelfond. Prior
to joining Imax, Moss served for four years as COO and CFO of Concert Productions
International (CPI), a major promoter of rock concerts and tours in North America.
Moss was also associated with EMI Group Canada and Sega of Canada as vice president
for finance.
