MUMBAI:Reliance ADAG's online gaming portal Zapak.com has launched the most popular text-based MMOG (Massively Multiplayer Online Game) - Wanted in India.

This Fan Immersion Game (FIG) is based on the movie Wanted which starred Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman and James McAvoy. Wanted has more than 20,00,000 registered users worldwide.

Wanted is developed and published by Sweden-based company Stillfront AB. The game is steeped in the mythology of the film, which tells the story of an office drone recruited into a fraternity of assassins - a ruthless secret society charged with carrying out the will of destiny.

As they progress through the game, players will build their character from an assassin-in-training to a powerful fraternity leader. They will use strategy to carry out exciting missions delivered by the Loom of Fate, and utilise micro-transactions to upgrade weapons and ammunition, gain healing abilities, and fortify their fraternity. Social networking aspects of the game allow players to recruit others into their fraternity, assign "hits" on competing players and team up to take out unsuspecting rival targets.

Fan Immersion Game format encourages players to explore this mythology as they build and manage their own fraternity and also provides an online forum for fans to discuss their exploits in the game and the Wanted property in general.

Stillfront AB CEO Marco Ahlgren says, "Our strategy is to work with the leading casual online games provider in each territory worldwide. We are very excited about entering the Indian market together with Zapak."

Zapak Digital Entertainment COO Rohit Sharma adds, "Wanted is a very popular MMOG internationally and it will build up a platform for the MMOG fans to experience something new with Zapak.com. We will be launching three to four more MMOG titles by the year-end and hope to provide the very best to our gamers."
