MUMBAI: National Geographic Channels International (NGCI), which is expanding its channel portfolio in the German and Austrian TV markets, is taking a step further by offering Nat Geo Wild in the Sky Welt package starting July.

The channel will be bundled together with National Geographic Channel, which has been airing on the Munich-based pay TV platform since 16 May. National Geographic Channel HD will also be available on the platform, further enhancing the Sky HD offering.

National Geographic Channel HD showcases documentary programming 24 hours a day, broadcasting entirely in high definition aspect ratio with dual German/English language audio feed.

NGC HD combines image quality and superior sound with storytelling across the broad mix of documentary genres that viewers appreciate from National Geographic Channel in standard definition (SD), the company said in a release.

Nat Geo Wild is a 24-hour channel fully dedicated to nature and wildlife programming, and will also be available with dual German/English audio.
