MTV launches Roadies Battleground 2

MUMBAI: MTV, the youth channel from Viacom18 stable, has announced the launch of Sony Ericsson MTV Roadies Battleground 2, the battle on the internet.

The launch of the second season follows the huge response MTV received on the Internet for its first season. This time, 13 Roadies battle ground warriors will be chosen to enter the battleground where they will be given video tasks twice a week.

 

Says MTV India GM and SVP creative and content Ashish Patil, “Roadies has an extremely loyal online following and the fan base just gets bigger with every season. Roadies Battleground gives everyone and anyone a chance to become a battleground warrior and experience what it takes to be Roadie.”

 
 

For this season, Battleground 2 will be conducted across various social networking platforms targeting a larger base. The battle will run on a specially designed micro site with task videos, video diaries and consumer votes while the discussions would happen on Orkut/Facebook, regular updates on Twitter, and the 'Behind the Scenes' action on the official blog.

The videos of the tasks would be put up on the website and the audience would have control to choose who gets the immunity.
