The final of the Twenty20 World Cup between Sri Lanka and Pakistan on 21 June,
which was simulcast on Star Cricket and DD, got a TVR of 5.2.
This
was considerably higher than the average of the two semi-finals which was 3.2.
The
dream final in the first edition between India and Pakistan got a TVR of 15.9. This
time the average rating for the T20 World Cup was 2.89, compared to 4 when India
won in 2007. The
second season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) got an average rating of 4.2.
The final match was played between Decccan Chargers and Royal Challengers and
got a rating of 9.3. |
