Radio One narrows Q1 operating loss to Rs 33 million

MUMBAI: Radio One, the radio arm of Mid Day Multimedia, has reduced its first-quarter operating loss to Rs 33 million, lower than Rs 36.40 million a year ago.

Revenue stands at Rs 71.4 million, up from Rs 66.3 million in the first quarter of FY'08.

Radio One has employed a capital of Rs 1.86 billion, according to data till 30 June, while liabilities from the radio business stood at Rs 203.7 million.

On the consolidated basis, Mid Day Multimedia has posted a net profit of Rs 1.1 million, as compared to a net loss of Rs 34.6 million. The net income of the company, however, slid 14.82 per cent to Rs 305.3 million, as against Rs 358.4 million.
