MUMBAI: Videoload, the online video library service of Deutsche Telekom AG (Germany), and Disney-ABC-ESPN Television have signed a content deal to leverage the new media technology.

With the new deal, episodes of the hit ABC Studios series Desperate Housewives (Season 5), Grey’s Anatomy (Season 5), Lost (Season 4) and Scrubs (Season 8) will be available online at Videoload within one day of premiering on German television.

Additionally, users will be able to view episodes from previous seasons.

Meanwhile, the deal also sees addition of over 20 Disney Channel kids and family series, and Playhouse Disney pre-school series to Videoload’s viewing selection.

Kim Possible, Hannah Montana (featuring Miley Cyrus) and Wizards of Waverly Place (starring Selena Gomez), along with learning-focused preschool hits Handy Manny and My Friends Tigger & Pooh, will be added.

Also included in the new agreement is the extension of Videoload and Disney-ABC-ESPN Television’s existing transactional VOD movie rental agreement to offer selected library movies on a subscription VOD basis.

The offer is also available to T-Home Entertain subscribers, who can access Videoload’s full programme library directly via their television set.
