NEW DELHI: Network18’s English news channel CNN-IBN will telecast a week-long series Are We Battle Ready from today.

Says IBN18 Network editor in chief Rajdeep Sardesai, “The Indian defence forces have become a true harbinger of peace and stability in the country as well as in the regions beyond our national borders. As we march in to commemorate achievements of our defence forces, this special series sensitively addresses the problem armed forces are facing and focuses on the countries situation in case of a war.”

Hosted by Anubha Bhosle and Vishal Thapar, the show highlights India's state of preparedness with regards to the military challenges.

Also with the country celebrating the 61st Army Day on 15 January, the series takes a peep into the countries defence force and depleting Air Squadron that needs to be addressed immediately.

Moreover, the program will discuss the state of weapon in the armed forces and how the lack of nimbleness in India's defence planning and procurements can be exploited by the enemies.
