Pix, the English movie channel from Multi Screen Media (formerly known as Sony),
has bagged the official television rights in India to telecast UKs popular
football tournament, The Football Association Cup, popularly knows as the FA Cup.
The
matches will be telecast live starting 3 January, where prominent clubs like Manchester
United, Liverpool, Newcastle and Tottenham will compete for the round of action. Multi
Screen Media CEO Kunal DasGupta said, The passion for football is rapidly
growing while the sport is gaining popularity in India. Pix brings its viewers
the best in football action - FA Cup live from the stadiums.
As part of
the agreement, Pix and the FA Cup will also have the rights to air a series of
England International matches in which the senior national team will play to qualify
for the World Cup 2010 and European Cup 2012. Our
viewers can enjoy the best selection of movies on Indian television along with
some exciting football action from the Worlds top professional league,
