MUMBAI: The IPTV platform solutions provider MatrixStream has join hands with content aggregator Mytvpal.com to launch the high definition cinematic Internet streaming service with 5.1 surround sound.

The company claims that at present, most Internet video sites utilize plug-in web technology which only supports 2-channel stereo.

By using the latest MatrixStream MatrixCast streaming engine, users can view video in full HD 1080p video with 5.1 surround sound on a PC or television via MatrixStream’s MX 1 set-top-box. Moreover, the MatrixCast streaming engine displays HD video in native 1080p at 24p frame rate which is the near equivalent to film standards, giving realistic digital cinematic experience available.

To use the offering, users need a minimum of three Mbps to view HD 1080p stream.

The company also boasts that similar video services across North America and elsewhere can be rapidly deployed by broadband service providers, typically within 30 days, using MatrixStream complete end-to-end turnkey IPTV platform solution.
