Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) Sahara One is set to screen Bhojpuri
movies every Friday in a bid to woo the Bhojpuri speaking audience. The
films will be aired at 3 pm slot throughout the month of February. Starting
6 February, the channel will air Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini starrer Ganga,
Ravi Kissen and Nagma starrer Ab ta Banja Sajanwa Hamar, Saiyaan Ke Solah Singaar
and Ravi Kissen and Kunal Singh starrer Hamraa Se Biyah Karab.
The
channel claims that the Bhojpuri film industry has over the years delivered many
good scripted movies with "powered packed" performances from stars.
The channel,
at present, is at the seventh spot in the Hindi GEC space with overall GRP (gross
rating points) of 54.9. |
