UTV Movies, the Hindi movie channel from the UTV Network stable, is set to screen
Shyam Benegal directed Welcome to Sajjanpur on 1 February at 8 pm.
Thus,
the movie, released in September last year, will have its world television premiere
within 5 months of its theatrical release. The
film is being presented by Amway. Perfetti, in association with Sony Ericsson,
Ayur Herbal, ICI Paints and HDFC Standard Life, is the co- presenter.
Welcome
to Sajjanpur revolves around a small village called Sajjanpur and its natives.
The film also talks about Mahadev (Shreyas Talpade), a graduate who is unable
to find a job and is forced to make a living writing letters for the uneducated
people of his village. His real ambition is, however, to become a novel writer. |
