TV Today Network's net profit has dipped 48 per cent to Rs 86.73 million for the
third quarter ended 31 December 2008, as against Rs 166.9 million in the previous
year. Total
income was at Rs 652.66 milion, down from Rs 693.73 million in the year-ago period.
Expenditure
during the quarter under review has jumped to Rs 579.24 million, compared to Rs
490.18 million in the prior year. This was due to a rise in advertising, marketing
and distribution costs. Also, the employee cost increased from Rs 144.59 million
(Q3, FY08) to Rs 186.73 million in the third quarter of this fiscal. |
