MUMBAI: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has resolved the issues with its star players over the IPL issue. Both parties have agreed on a 21-day period for Test players.

Earlier, the ECB was keen for a two-week release of players, which resulted in the delay of singing of central contracts of the players.

The three-week window falls after the end of the Caribbean tour in April.

The English Board has also allowed a four-week period to those players who are not centrally contracted to participate in the second season of the cash-rich Indian Premiere League (IPL).

The development will enable players like Kevin Pietersen, Andrew Flintoff, Owais Shah and Paul Collingwoood to enter in the IPL.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Indians (Mumbai franchise) have swapped Karnataka Ranji team captain Robin Uthappa with Royal Challengers Bangalore’s left arm pace bowler Zaheer Khan.

Both the players have moved to their respective home sides without any exchange of cash, media reports suggested.

Vijay Mallya has purchased Zaheer Khan for $450,000 in last year's auction while Mumbai paid $850,000 for Uthappa at that time. Mumbai Indians had earlier exchanged Ashish Nehra for Delhi Daredevils' Shikhar Dawan.
