MUMBAI:
HBO, the English movie channel, has unveiled a special movie
lineup to woo more viewers in 2009. The slate includes blockbusters
and premieres in January.
The
movies will be aired in three of HBOs popular slots - HBO See It First,
HBO Friday Blockbusters and HBO Sunday Super hits. The
channel will premiere Oceans Thirteen (George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon
and Andy Garcia) as HBO Blockbuster of the Month on 30 January.
The lineup will include Mission Impossible special, Animals in Control
and Fall Flight HBO. The
See It First line up includes comedy movie The Heartbreak Kid starring
Ben Stiller, Malin Akerman, Michelle Monaghan and Malin Akerman on 10 January
and action adventure Smokin Aces starring Ben Affleck, Ryan Reynolds,
Jeremy Piven and Alicia Keys on 17 January. Matthew
Mcconaughey, Matthew Fox, Anthony Mackie and David Strathairn starrer We Are
Marshall will premiere on 24 January. Comedy film License to Wed starring
Robin Williams, Mandy Moore, John Krasinski and Eric Christian Olsen will be telecast
on 31 January.
In
Sunday Super Hits, channel will air at 9 pm, Police Academy:
Mission to Moscow on 11 January and suspense thriller
Disturbia on 18 January, followed by action Evolution
on 25 January.
On
26 January, the channel will air first and second part of the Mission Impossible
series at 9 pm and at 11:15 pm.
The
channel has lined up for Wednesday night at 9 pm slot flicks
featuring animals on screen - Cats and Dogs on 7 January,
followed by Happy Feet on 14 January, Stuart Little
on 21 January and Charlottes Web on 28 January.
In
HBO Fall Fight, Tuesday 9 pm slot, the channel will air Aeonflux
on 6 January, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider on 13 January and The Peacemaker
on 20 January. HBO will also air action comedy movie Miss Congeniality
on 27 January.
In
Friday Blockbusters, the lineup has Twister on 9 January,
followed by Small Soldiers on 16 January. Shrek
the Third will be aired on 23 January.
